Our quarry in Kamo produces various sizes of Scoria which is mainly used for landscaping and drainage. Scoria is a highly vesicular, red colored volcanic rock which is relatively low in density and has a specific gravity greater than 1 (sinks in water) which makes it ideal for drainage designs. Scoria has many useful characteristics as it is somewhat porous, has a high surface area and strength for its weight and also has an attractive red color.
